As leaders our currency is much less about the technical skill sets (doing ourselves) and much more about our interpersonal skill sets (doing through others). This change in mindset as well as change in skillset is vital to being successful in our role as leaders.
It makes sense that sometimes we can struggle to communicate and partner effectively. We do not get training in this. We may learn the tenants of how to have a difficult conversation or how to give effective feedback. But we aren’t trained on the more sophisticated skill sets of driving alignment, gaining buy-in and knowing how to speak to hearts and minds to increase engagement of our teams.
In order to be able to do so, we need a safe space. We need a forum to come together, to talk things through, to leverage each other as sounding boards. We need tools to help shift behavior and strengthen our partnerships at work.
This is why MettaWorks is now offering Leadership Masterminds for leaders across the tech industry. Formerly a program only offered in-house for specific companies, MettaWorks is now creating an opportunity for leaders to come together across companies to learn from each other’s experiences.
Small cohorts of leaders will come together for 90 minutes monthly.
Each monthly session will have a specific topic focused on cultivating emotional intelligence. The structure of each session will focus on cultivating leadership coaching skills in the context of the specific topic. Coaching skills are integral to showing up as a stronger influencer across the organization.
